Rotary shares an interest in protecting our common legacy: the environment. Rotarians are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, which advance ecological sustainability.
The Club became involved in a hands-on tree planting project on a farm in the Upper North of SA. Members of the Rotary Club of St Peters and friends visited the site at their own expense and planted 200 trees. Six varieties of hardy native species suited to the local conditions were chosen.
Each year a group from the club visits the site and carries out maintenance.
