Each year the Rotary Club of St Peters calls for nominations from students to attend the National Youth Science Forum. The successful students are funded by the Club to attend the NYSF. Upon returning and at a club meeting, they give a comprehensive report about their experiences.
They expect dry lectures and full time study, but are surprised at the fun and laughter that goes with the study. From their arrival the fun starts and continues for the fourteen days.
Amongst the frivolity they meet and dine with senior scientists, perform hands on experiments (they blow stuff up!) and attend interesting lectures in their chosen study field.
The students generally declare their delight at having been to NYSF, and express their thanks to The Rotary Club of St Peters for the sponsorship that sent them there.
